Although the timing belt is common as a camshaft drive mechanism, its design and specification are not suitable for the tuned turbo charged engine while it has enough quality to the standard engine. Durability of the belt is reduced badly from higher rotation of the engine, installation of high lift camshaft, increasing transfer torque from performance valve spring, and heat from turbine, engine, and cooling system. TOMEI strengthen timing belt has changed nylon belt surface of a standard article into the Kevlar fiber (Aramid), and raised the tensile strength at the time of high temperature while H-NB rubber ingredient and the glass cable core were optimized and formed into high intensity article. Consequently, improvement in a performance is realized and a camshaft is correctly synchronized with a crankshaft even under the severe conditions.
